It’s a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Theri (2016), originally by Atlee.

Plot Summary

Varun Dhawan stars as John D’Silva, a baker living peacefully with his daughter Khushi in Kerala. But John's past as a righteous cop, DCP Satya Verma, catches up with him. Forced into hiding to protect his daughter, he must confront a powerful politician—played by Jackie Shroff—when his enemies return to wreak havoc
